About SAMUG - St. Augustine Mac Users Group

Welcome to the Saint Augustine Macintosh Users Group's [SAMUG] Web Site! SAMUG is a nonprofit educational organization located in historic St. Augustine, Florida, the oldest continuously occupied city in the United States.

SAMUG supports Mac users throughout the "First Coast" region, from Palm Coast in the south to Ponte Vedra in the north, and from St. Augustine Beach in the east to Elkton, Hastings and Palatka in the west. We invite you to come on in, and explore our web site. All meetings are open to the public and we especially welcome new users.

New to Computing? If you are considering purchasing a computer, we can help you evaluate which one will serve you best, what software you will need (if any) and how to get started.

Switching from PC to Mac? If you need help evaluating the move or finding out the differences, let us guide you to the right sources of information and training. Apple also offers tutorials to help in the switch. Switch 101

SAMUG was founded in 1995 and has two meetings each month where we discuss the use of Macintosh computers at home and in the work place. Our regular monthly meetings on the third Wednesday of the month focus on what's new in Mac hardware and software, as well as demonstrations of other interesting computer related topics. On the last Saturday of each month, we host a roundtable discussion
where finding answers to your computer-related questions is the agenda.

There are a number of advantages to being a member of SAMUG, whether you are an experienced Mac user or are just getting started. SAMUG provides an excellent opportunity to learn from the experiences of others, and we take special effort to assist and support novice, beginning and handicapped Mac users. MEMBERSHIP Application.

Membership brings with it access to our volunteer team of Mac experts. We can help you learn how to better use your Macintosh, and avoid unnecessary visits to the repair shop. New members are entitled to help configuring their Internet connection and an Internet tutorial.  The benefits of membership go on and on. Join, and take advantage of the support.
